Xianning University is located in Xianning City, a place that is considered to be the "home of osmanthus trees". Wenzhou Medical College, designated as a key university in Zhejiang, is an institution of higher learning under the leadership of Zhejiang Provincial Government. Its history can be traced back to Zhejiang Specialized Medical School established in Hangzhou in 1912, named “Zhejiang Second Medical College” at that time.
